This demonstration's numbers:
runner at 646 rpm with 810 gpm (1.8 cfs, 1.2 mgd) water flow; at 9.2 ft/sec (3 m/sec) velocity. Alternator in watertight blue canister to the left, covered by water spray. Electric output powered a motor off-screen to right. Underwater, just see ripples.
